MEGA CORRIDOR

Our immediate strategic and ambitious conservation focus is the “Grand Arch of Tropical Forests” in central-western South America - spanning seven major forest regions, from the Pantanal wetlands and eastern Bolivia to the northern edge of the Peruvian Amazon, reaching toward Ecuador and Colombia.

The Forest Mega Corridor Concept connects the Amazon, Chiquitano, and Pantanal biomes across multiple countries by establishing and strengthening protected areas and Indigenous ancestral territories making it continental in scale.

In the long term, we aim to achieve full landscape connectivity through political action and sustainable production in the areas that link Indigenous territories and natural reserves.

If realized, this Grand Arch would cover tens of millions of hectares, surpassing most existing initiatives in both scale and ecological diversity.

It represents one of the world’s most ambitious connectivity efforts - linking forests across nations into what could become the planet’s largest continuous tropical forest landscape under protection and sustainable management.
